Assistant to the City Manager in the City of Cupertino

Jaqui is an Assistant to the City Manager in the City of Cupertino where she manages high priority projects on behalf of the City Manager, leads labor relations, and serves on the City Manager’s Budget Team. Prior to this role, she was the Acting Human Resources Manager. Jaqui joined Cupertino as a Senior Management Analyst leading revenue and expenditure forecasting for the City’s budget team, managing legislative affairs, and serving as a project manager for various HR, Finance, and IT projects. She has prior budget and policy experience with the City of San José’s City Manager’s Office and the California Legislative Analyst’s Office. Jaqui earned her master’s degree in public policy (MPP) from UCLA’s School of Public Affairs in 2007 and received her B.A. in Diplomacy and World Affairs with minors in Economics and Spanish from Occidental College. Jaqui is active in her community, serving on the Board of the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley, a local nonprofit that educates, prepares and connects Latinas in the areas of civic engagement and leadership development as well as the Board of Alpha Public Schools, a charter school organization serving middle and high school student in East San Jose.
