Deputy City Manager, City of Cupertino

Jaqui overseas the City Manager’s Office, including Public Affairs and Sustainability. She manages high priority projects on behalf of the City Manager, leads legislative affairs, plays key roles in the City’s budget and labor negotiations teams, and provides strategic support on City-wide and cross-department initiatives. She has over 10 years of public sector experience, including analyst roles with the City of San José’s City Manager’s Office and the California Legislative Analyst’s Office. Jaqui has a master’s degree in public policy (MPP) from UCLA’s School of Public Affairs and B.A. in Diplomacy and World Affairs with minors in Economics and Spanish from Occidental College.

Jaqui is also active in her community, serving on the Community Advisory Panel of KQED, a public media organization, and Board of Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI), a health and wellness organization serving low income residents in Santa Clara County. She is also a Past-President and current Advisory Board Member of the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley, a local nonprofit that educates, prepares and connects Latinas in the areas of civic engagement and leadership development.
