Attorney at Law Offices of Patricia D. Castorena

Patricia D. Castorena is a passionate immigrant rights advocate and strong supporter of pro bono volunteerism in the legal community. She is in private practice and specializes in family-based immigration, hardship waivers, humanitarian relief, citizenship, and removal defense, with a smaller focus on the criminal defense of non-citizens.

She is a Board Member of Alpha Public Schools, the Santa Clara County La Raza Lawyers Association, and a former Board Member of Services, Immigrant Rights and Education Network (SIREN.) Patricia is also a proud graduate of the HOPE Leadership Institute, Class of 2011.

Since September 2014, Patricia appears on Telemundo Bay Area’s Friday evening newscast to present their immigration segment and provide information to viewers on how to navigate the complex immigration system.

Patricia was born and raised in San José, California. Her parents are from Zacatecas, Mexico and immigrated to the United States in 1974; both were unable to receive an education past elementary school. She is a first-generation college graduate and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology, with a double minor in Ethnic Studies and Anthropology, from Santa Clara University. She received her Juris Doctor from Lincoln Law School of San José.

Patricia was a member of the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley Board of Directors from 2008 to 2012. As a current member of the Advisory Board, she looks forward to fulfilling LCSV’s goals of educating and preparing Latinas in the areas of civic engagement and leadership development.
