Patricia D. Castorena is an attorney in private practice and specializes in family-based immigration, citizenship, and removal defense, with a smaller focus on criminal defense. Formerly with the Center for Employment Training’s Immigration and Citizenship Program, the Asian Law Alliance, and the Law Office of Steven Clark, Patricia is a long time immigrant rights advocate and strong supporter of pro bono volunteerism in the legal community.

Patricia is currently President of the California La Raza Lawyers Association, Co-Liaison of the DMV Committee for the AILA Santa Clara Valley Chapter, Co-President of the Chicano/Latino Alumni Chapter at Santa Clara University, and Secretary and Board Member of SIREN (Services, Immigrant Rights, and Education Network). Patricia is also a proud graduate of the HOPE Leadership Institute, Class of 2011.

Patricia was born and raised in San José, California. Her parents are from Zacatecas, Mexico and immigrated to the United States in 1974; both were unable to receive an education past elementary school. She is a first generation college graduate and received her Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology, with a double minor in Ethnic Studies and Anthropology, from Santa Clara University. She received her Juris Doctor from Lincoln Law School of San José.

Patricia was a member of the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley Board of Directors from 2008 to 2012. As a current member of the Advisory Board, she looks forward to fulfilling LCSV’s goal of educating and preparing Latinas in the areas of civic engagement and leadership development.
