HOPE PARTNERS WITH LCSV

TO INCREASE LATINA CIVIC ENGAGEMENT WITH SOCIAL NETWORKING TOOLS

H
ispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE) will partner with the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley (LCSV) to conduct 4 trainings in the Silicon Valley on the utilization of social networking tools to advance community engagement. Currently, Latinas are not meeting their full potential in voting—a key indicator of civic and community engagement—with over 30% of eligible Latinas not registered to vote.

HOPE is working to address the civic disparities seen in the Latina community by engaging, training, and empowering Latina leaders to adopt a community project that will demonstrate their power to transform community. With the help of LCSV, HOPE’s innovated approach is to first engage Latina leaders, train them to use social networking tools, and then leverage their relationships with each other and key influencers to address community issues facing the Silicon Valley.  READ MORE!
