Karen Gonzalez

Karen Gonzalez (she/her/ella) is the Strategic Partnerships and Memberships Director of Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley.

Karen has dedicated her life to serving the community through different roles in both the public and private sector, including working for elected officials in local, state, federal government and leading the community engagement strategy for the first purpose driven profesional soccer team in the country. She is passionate about equity based strategies that advance social missions.

In 2023 Karen was awarded “Community Change Maker” by over 500 of her industry colleagues. She is passionate about serving communities of color, immigrant communities and uplifting the voices of Latinas in all industries.

Karen is a Mexican born immigrant, former DACA recipient and Bay Area raised Latina. She received her B.A. degree in Political Science from San José State University where she developed her love for serving communities. She is a proud mother of 6 year old Valeria Gonzalez and partner to Oakland Firefighter Paramedic, Gustavo Gonzalez.
