Danielle Serrano was born and raised in South San Jose, where she currently resides. The first in her family to graduate college, Danielle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from Stanford University, where she was awarded the Stanford Award of Excellence as part of the top 10% of her class for her involvement at Stanford. She currently serves as the Operations Manager for Breakthrough Silicon Valley, an organization that supports low-income, first-generation students prepare for and thrive in college. As an alumna of Breakthrough, she understands how crucial access to education is in providing opportunities.

Danielle is also an alumna of the 2018 Engaged Latina Leadership Activist (ELLA) program and served on the ELLA volunteer committee for the class of 2019. She is passionate about storytelling and making organizations more diverse and inclusive. She believes everyone should have a seat at the table and is determined to make that a reality. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and finding the best tacos.
