Ms. Janine Ramirez is a community leader with nearly ten years of education nonprofit experience working with Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE), a 501c3 nonprofit organization who is dedicated to achieving economic and social equality for all through education. As Executive Director for PIQE’s San Jose Regional office, Janine provides leadership, direction and guidance of the regional office’s activities and operations. She partners closely with senior management to plan the future growth of PIQE’s presence in the region and strategic response to education and industry trends. Through her leadership, Ms. Ramirez has successfully elevated PIQE San Jose to a higher level, increased the demand of services throughout the six county region, making PIQE San Jose a leading Parent Engagement Organization in the region. Janine’s work with PIQE and various partnerships have been highlighted in various media outlets such as NBC, Telemundo and Comcast Newsmakers. Recently she was quoted in the Mountain View Voice Newspaper, showcasing her transformative work in the city of Mountain View, California. Janine has spoken at various panels and conferences throughout the region. Most recently, co-leading a workshop at Microsoft’s Funding Your Impact Summit, titled “The Art of Creating Long Lasting and Effective Partnerships”, with former San Jose Mayor, Ron Gonzales. Janine also makes it a point from time to time, to speak at Career Day events and share her own experience of being the first in her family to graduate and go to college, with the younger generation of students.

Janine is the President of Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley (LCSV), and has served as a Board of Director since 2012 serving in various capacities from Vice President, to Engaged Latina Leadership Activist (ELLA) Chair and Secretary. She is a graduate of the 2016 HOPE’s Leadership Institute. Additionally, she is a former graduate from the Latino Board Leadership Academy from the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley, Latino Leadership Alliance and a Leadership Program at the Center for Comparative Studies for Race and Ethnicity at Stanford Leadership Institute. Janine graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
