Denae Rivera
Denae Rivera is a first-generation senior at Santa Clara University, pursuing a degree in Communication Studies. Growing up in East Side San Jose, she was raised in a multicultural, bilingual household that fostered a deep connection to her Mexican heritage through her immigrant grandmother and exploration of her Black culture through her father. Passionate about representation and inclusivity, Denae is dedicated to creating spaces where students of color can authentically express themselves, feel welcomed, and respected for their diverse identities. Currently serving as the Director of the Multicultural Center on campus, she seeks to extend her commitment within the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley. As an Archivist Intern for the Coalition, Denae delves into the rich history and roots that LCSV has cultivated over its lifetime. She aims to preserve and highlight the contributions of Latinas in Silicon Valley, contributing to the Coalition's mission of empowerment and advocacy.
