Our Programs
Our programs help Latinas thrive both economically and politically through a series of professional activities that promote resources, networking, and mentoring in areas of leadership development, organizing, policy/advocacy, workforce development, and economic mobility.
ELLA
Our Engaged Latina Leadership Activist Program (ELLA) cultivates leadership potential and provides resources and opportunities that impact Latinas locally and state-wide. The program consists of a 3-Day leadership retreat, a series of civic training and workshops, participation in Latina Action Day, and a final project.
PALA
Our Policy Advocacy Leadership in Action Program (PALA) is a 3 day intensive bootcamp, held twice a year, for Latinas who are meant to be decision makers and advocates in the political space. The program provides civic engagement training and opportunities focused on the various facets of policy and advocacy. PALA equips Latinas with the tools and confidence needed to run for office.
Chispanas
The Chispanas Community Organizing Program is a biweekly shared space to uplift Latina voices through community organizing and power building. Like a “chispa” we hope to ignite together in combating issues that affect Latinas in our local community.
LEAP
Our Latina Economic Advancement Program (LEAP) is our program that focuses on increasing economic stability and supporting Latinas in navigating the workplace. The program includes 2 components: Financial Literacy Seminars and Workforce Development Seminars. The curriculum includes a series of workshops that prepare Latinas with the skill sets to obtain higher paying jobs and build generational wealth. In addition, participants have the opportunity to build community and network through our community convenings and eligible participants can receive a stipend in support for 1-1 career coaching, professional headshots, or childcare voucher. The six month program concludes with our career fair, Futura Fest.
